Job summary

Valley Health System in the United States is seeking a Technical Coordinator, Hematology to oversee the Hematology unit, ensure patient result reporting, QC/QA, and accreditation compliance. You will lead staff competency, implement new technologies, manage training, and support LIS and departmental initiatives.

This is a first-shift, full-time role with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field required
• 5 years of clinical laboratory experience with a focus in Hematology
• ASCP or equivalent board certification required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversees Hematology unit operations, patient result reporting, QC/QA, and accreditation standards
• Maintains competency of staff and ensures ongoing training and documentation
• Evaluates new technologies and implements them with interdepartmental teams
• Provides LIS, QA and Education support in collaboration with staff
• Manages equipment maintenance and quality control documentation
• Prepares reports and participates in intradepartmental and interdepartmental meetings
