Job summary

Labcorp in Dallas, TX seeks a Lab Supervisor to lead the Hematology department on the 1st shift. You will supervise daily operations, ensure tests are performed accurately and results reported promptly, and mentor laboratory personnel.

You will manage staffing, workflow, quality control, and compliance with CLIA, CAP and state regulations while driving process improvements and maintaining training records. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of technologist experience and an ASCP/AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technologist/Technician.
• ASCP or AMT certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day to day operations of the Hematology department.
• Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results reported promptly.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel in the department.
• Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverage.
• Responsible for ensuring all shifts are properly staffed.
• Research and resolve production errors and escalate when necessary.
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
• Maintain Quality Control and QA records and documents.
