Job summary

A laboratory testing company in Dallas, TX is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor. The role involves managing technical departments in a busy setting, supervising staff, ensuring quality control, and performing tests. Candidates should have a B.S. degree and 1-3 years of relevant supervisory experience, preferably as a Medical Technologist. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma is a plus. The position requires evening shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, 12 AM to 8:30 AM.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) is ideal.
• Must meet all State & Local licensing requirements.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and ISO is a plus.
• Background in Immunology is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical testing departments in a high volume laboratory.

• Supervise and review the work of 15 staff members.
• Supervision of staff of 15 FTEs---Assigns, oversees, and reviews the work of employees
• Directs all phases of work, quality, service, and costs; and performs tests or assays as required.

• Must be accountable and able to work with tenured staff

Job Description

• Managing technical testing departments in a high volume reference laboratory.
• Processes quality control, and overall production operation of the immunoassay department testing TSH, Hepatitis, HIV, Tumor Makers, and other immunoassay/serology tests.
• will assign, oversee, and review the quality of employee work, direct all phases of work, quality, service, and costs, and perform testing and special projects as required
• Supervision of staff of 15 FTEs---Assigns, oversees, and reviews the work of employees
• Directs all phases of work, quality, service, and costs; and performs tests or assays as required.
• Operation of the immunoassay department
• Must be accountable and able to work with tenured staff

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. /B.A. Degree w/1-3 years of supervisory experience
• Must meet all State & Local licensing requirements
• Ideal candidate is a Medical Technologist (MT) with ASCP, NCA, or AMT certification or has equivocal experience with a 4 year degree
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and ISO is a plus
• Background in Immunology is a plus!
• Legal authorization to work in the US
