Job summary

Labcorp in Dallas, TX seeks a Technician to join our team. The role performs routine and complex testing procedures, analyzes specimens, and ensures quality patient results.

Work schedule is Tue-Sat, 3am to 11:30am, focusing on instrument operation, maintenance, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will collaborate with laboratory staff to monitor instrumentation, document QA activities, and contribute to accurate diagnostics and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
