Job summary

NYU Langone Health is a leading academic medical center known for exceptional patient outcomes and extensive research. The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will perform routine and complex lab procedures, process specimens, calculate and report results, and ensure quality control across instruments and processes.

The candidate will review results before EMR release, communicate critical values to medical staff, and participate in training of new technologists.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist (NYSDOH).
• Bachelor’s degree as specified by NYS requirements or equivalent.
• One year of clinical laboratory experience (internship acceptable).
• Effective interpersonal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests and procedures.
• Follows policies for methodologies and instrument operations and records results.
• Maintains quality control, instrument maintenance, and calibration checks.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field (NYSDOE registered)

Bachelor’s Degree in biology, chemistry or physical sciences (NYSO P)
