Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioners: Work requires completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with a Master's degree in Nursing.
• Physician Assistants: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. A Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding with the Hematology Consult Service and coordination with the Hematology team.
• Take patient histories, perform physical examinations, and document in the medical record.
• Order and schedule relevant laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform bone marrow aspirates and biopsies as part of diagnostic workup.
• Coordinate discharge planning and outpatient follow-up with the care team.
• Support medication approvals and follow-up on laboratory results as needed.
