Job summary

Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/APP to join the cancer program. The role supports expansion of primary healthcare services in collaboration with a physician and involves assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute/chronic conditions.

Location is Racine, WI with a 40-hour week. The position offers a $5,000 start bonus, CME allowance, malpractice tail coverage, and comprehensive benefits through Ascension.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Drug Enforcement Administration credentialed preferred.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.
• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
• Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
• Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
