Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Helper/Cleaner/Finisher in Tyler, TX to clean, grind and sand surfaces of components before painting. The role includes assisting welders, setting up weld tables and loading materials with hoists or a forklift.

You will use grinders, replace worn discs and perform sub-assembly tasks as needed. The position runs on the 1st shift, Mon-Fri, from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a pay rate of $14.51 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to examine surfaces for defects and ensure smooth finishes.
• Familiarity with using abrasive wheels and grinders safely.
• Willingness to assist welders and handle material loading.

Responsibilities

• Clean, grind and sand surfaces of components prior to painting.
• Assist welders with setup, material handling and sub-assembly tasks.
• Operate grinders and use measuring tools as required.
• Maintain equipment and replace worn abrasive discs and wheels.
• Support safety and quality control during finishing operations.
