Job summary

Wastequip seeks a dedicated Helper/Cleaner/Finisher for its Beeville, TX facility on 2nd shift. You will clean, grind, and sand surfaces of components prior to painting, assist welders, and help set up weld tables and material handling equipment.

The role emphasizes attention to surface finish, safe operation of grinders, and teamwork in a metal fabrication environment. Prior grinding or welding support experience is a plus; training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating grinders and handling abrasive wheels.
• Ability to inspect surfaces for defects.
• Willingness to assist welders and set up weld tables.
• Capable of loading/handling heavy parts with hoists or forklifts.
• Basic sub-assembly and measurement tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Examines surface of workpiece for defects.
• Selects abrasive wheel and attaches to grinder.
• Grinds and polishes to remove scratches.
• Replaces worn abrasive disks.
• Assists welders with non-welding tasks.
• Sets up weld table with materials.
• Lifts and loads materials using hoists, cranes, or forklift.
• Assists welders in moving heavy pieces.
• Performs sub-assembly work as needed.
• Uses bracing and measurement tools.
• Assist welders in bolting metal components.
• Preventative maintenance of welding equipment.

## Helper - 2nd shiftApply: Tyler, TX: Posted Yesterday: R-101402**Job Description:**Wastequip is recruiting for a Helper/Cleaner/Finisher in our Beeville, TX location, who cleans, grinds, and sands surfaces of component and or finished raw product prior to painting.**Pay rate:** $14.51 + $2 shift differential**2nd shift:** Monday to Thursday: 4:00PM to 1:30AM.
