Job summary

Wastequip in Rosemount, MN is seeking a Helper/Cleaner/Finisher who cleans, grinds, sands surfaces of components and finishes raw product prior to painting. The role also assists with welding prep and setup.

You will operate grinders, lift up to 50 lbs, and support welders with non-welding tasks, using hoists, cranes, and forklifts as needed. This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with grinders and abrasive wheels is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Examines surface of workpiece for defects and prepares grinding setup.
• Selects abrasive wheel and uses grinder to remove scratches and burrs.
• Polishes surfaces to a smooth finish and replaces worn disks.
• Assists welders with non-welding prep and loads materials using hoists/cranes.
• Supports welding operations and handles sub-assembly tasks as required.
