Job summary

Ingles Markets, Inc. in Black Mountain, NC is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide support for store technology and operations via phone and email.

You will troubleshoot issues, document tasks in ITSM/CSM, and assist stores and corporate users. Shifts run Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, four 10-hour days with overtime available.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic PC skills, and knowledge of Microsoft 365; POS knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; tech degree or certification is a plus.
• Related helpdesk or IT experience is a plus.
• General PC usage knowledge required; intermediate Microsoft 365.
• Excellent interpersonal, phone and email etiquette, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Knowledge of point-of-sale hardware/software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from stores and corporate users about technical or operational issues.
• Document all tasks via ITSM/CSM platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Answer inquiries concerning store operations.
• Escalate issues as needed.
• Follow-up with users to ensure issues are resolved.
• Verify sales data is received from stores daily.
• Perform monthly user audits for store systems.
• Additional department duties as directed.

Ingles Markets' headquarters and distribution center are located just 15 minutes outside of Asheville, NC in the town of Black Mountain.

The Position

The Help Desk Technician provides support and resolution of store technology and operation problems through direct interaction with Ingles Stores via phone and email. Our shifts are Sunday-Wednesday and Wednesday-Saturday. Four-day work week, ten-hour shift. Overtime available.

Key Responsibilities
