Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Help Desk professional to be the first point of contact for IT incidents in a fully onsite contract role in Kansas City, MO. The position requires US citizenship and an active or interim DoD clearance, with support across Windows, M365, Active Directory, VPN, and devices.

Responsibilities include incident handling, ticket documentation, escalation when needed, and collaboration with internal teams. The role may include after-hours shifts and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a help desk/service desk role with ticketing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot Windows, M365, AD, VPN, and device issues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for IT incidents and requests via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, M365, AD, VPN, network access, and mobile devices.
• Document, close, and escalate tickets while maintaining ownership and customer communication.
• Monitor queues and ensure SLA adherence; maintain detailed troubleshooting documentation.
• Collaborate with Tier II/III or engineering teams for escalations.
