Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson in Irving, TX is seeking a Helium Technical Specialist to assist the helium engineering team and support operation and maintenance of helium plants and ISO containers.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and requires 1-3 years in a technical position, plus an Associate's Degree in a technical discipline.

You will collaborate with logistics, perform maintenance activities, assist in revamps, review production reports, and help update P&IDs and procedures.

Responsibilities

Helium Technical Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Company is an industrial gas manufacturer anddistributor. The safety of ouremployees, Customers, and contract carriers is our first priority and paramountto our daily operations. The Helium Technical Specialist assists the heliumengineering team, our helium plants and our global helium team to support theoperation and maintenance activities of our helium plants and fleet of heliumISO containers. This position is locatedin Irving, TX and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Essential Functions

• Work with our logistics and global helium team to addressbasic maintenance activities related to our fleet of ISO containers (coordinatesmall repairs with vendors, troubleshoot monitoring systems and lead resolutionefforts, procure spare parts to Matheson locations where small maintenanceissues can be addressed...)
• Assist the Engineering project manager in managing theperiodic retests and rehabs of our ISO containers (scheduling and communicatingscope with vendors, issuing POs, reviewing and maintaining retest andmaintenance documentation, closing invoices, preparing CR packages for Rehabs)
• Perform performance evaluations on our ISO containers onevery applicable shipments so deviations in performance can be tracked andaddressed during rehabs
• Review monthly production reports from our helium transfillplants and assist our helium plants in resolving discrepancies in heliuminventories and container residuals
• Assist the helium engineering team to perform the requiredpreventive maintenance, repairs and improvements of our helium compressors incoordination with our helium plants
• Assist the engineering team in reviewing and updatingP&IDs and procedures as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Associate's Degree AssociateDegree in a technical discipline - Mechanical, Industrial or Engineering is Required

Work Experience

1-3 years of Experience in a technical position related toproduction or maintenance activities, preferably in a gas production ordistribution industry

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be computer literate and have strong experience inExcel spreadsheets, Sharepoint, Word and Outlook
• Must have some understanding of basic engineeringprinciples, operations and/or maintenance, preferably applied to gas orcryogenic systems. Problem solving and analytical skills needed.
• Must have solid organizational skills including attention todetail, prioritization, and multi-tasking
• Be able to effectively communicate with various internal andexternal groups.
