Job summary

Linde Inc. in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Helium Technician who is committed to safety and environmental accountability. The role involves loading/unloading per DOT, filling helium to quality standards, and safely handling hazardous materials while reading P&IDs and process controls.

You will perform duties under minimal supervision in varied weather, complete documentation accurately, and participate in compliance training. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; a 2-year associate degree is required.
• Industrial experience with liquid/gaseous product filling/unloading is preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable record is necessary.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email, are required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays) and live within 45 miles.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and secure products in accordance with DOT standards.
• Fill liquid and gas helium bulk containers to meet quality specifications.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and troubleshoot analytical issues.
• Read P&IDs and process controls; issue Safe Work Permits and use LOTO.
• Operate and start up/shutdown compression equipment as needed.

• Fill liquid and gas helium bulk containers to meet quality management system standards, ensuring 100% compliance with customer specifications
• Handle hazardous materials safely and troubleshoot analytical issues, making informed decisions
• Familiar with compression equipment and safely startup/shutdown process equipment as needed
• Issue Safe Work Permits and use LOTO to ensure safe work conditions, while reading and understanding P&IDs and process controls
• You will be required to perform duties under minimal supervision in diverse weather conditions, completing documentation accurately and participating in training programs for compliance
