Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation for our customers. You will work with a team of medical experts to ensure safe patient transport, aircraft readiness, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a current rotorcraft FAA commercial certificate, instrument rating, and a valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate with extensive helicopter hours, including turbine and night time. On-duty housing and a 7/7 schedule are offered where available.

Qualifications

  • Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate and instrument rating.
  • Must hold FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum 2,000 total flight hours with helicopter experience.
  • Extensive turbine and night flight time preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients with a team of medical experts.
  • Ensure aircraft readiness per manuals and regulatory rules.
  • Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
  • Accurately document regulatory records and handoffs with dispatch
  • Communicate effectively with flight crews, facilities, and partners
  • Provide shift-change information in the change board per protocol

Salary Range: $109,173 - $120,091 including 23% Geographic Modifier
15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility

Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)

Responsibilities
  • Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
  • Ensure aircraft readiness as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
  • Maintain accurate Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
  • Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording MedTrans change board details
  • Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training
MinimumRequirements
  • Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
  • Helicopter instrument rating
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • 2,000 Total Flight Hours
  • 1,500 Helicopter Hours
  • 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
  • 1,000 Turbine Helicopter Hours
  • 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)
Preferred Qualifications
  • B407 Aircraft Experience
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
