Job summary

Verition Fund Management LLC in Houston offers a 10-week Summer Internship on the Verition platform teams, delivering real, high-impact work and presenting results to senior leaders at the program's end.

You'll be placed on a platform team—from Data to Business Development—contributing to automation, dashboards, and operational efficiency while gaining a firm-wide view of how a global hedge fund operates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in finance, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, business, computer science, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to be collaborative and work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated interest in hedge funds/financial services.
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Placed on one of these teams - Data, Accounting & Finance, Operations, Risk, Technology, Treasury, Human Resources, Marketing, or Business Development - you will contribute to impactful project work and gain firsthand insight into how that team functions as a core part of the Verition platform.
• Expect hands-on contributions to the operations and infrastructure that our investment teams depend on: automating processes and workflows, building real-time dashboards and tools, and driving operational efficiency across the firm.
• Contribute to strategic projects that extend beyond your day-to-day team responsibilities.
• Leverage AI tools to contribute meaningful work from day one.
• Compete in a trading simulation with the full intern class to build foundational markets knowledge.
