Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a dedicated steward responsible for deep cleaning of kitchen surfaces and equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will help maintain health and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout daily operations.

The role involves cleaning walls, floors, ceilings, and equipment such as pots, pans, fryers, ovens, kettles, refrigerators, and ventilation hoods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Must understand and complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use caustic chemicals and operate cleaning equipment like a pressure washer.

Responsibilities

• Cleans kitchen surfaces including walls, floors and ceilings.
• Cleans kitchen equipment including pots, pans, fryers, ovens, kettles, refrigerators, ventilation hoods and related gear.
• Assists with other stewarding duties as needed.
• Removes all trash and recyclable materials from designated areas to appropriate containers.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing deep cleaning of kitchen surfaces and equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

includes but not limited to:

• Cleans kitchen surfaces including walls, floors and ceilings
• Cleans kitchen equipment including pots, pans, fryers, ovens, kettles, refrigerators, ventilation hoods and any other equipment
• Assists with other stewarding duties, as needed

Secondary Duties And Responsibilities

• Removes all trash and recyclable materials from designated areas to appropriate containers

Minimum Education And Qualifications

• Must be able to understand and complete multiple tasks assigned with minimum supervision
• Ability to use caustic chemicals and operate various cleaning equipment such as a pressure washer

Competencies

• Understanding of cleaning methods

Training Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals

Physical Demands And Work Environment
