Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in the Stewarding department. You will ensure an adequate supply of clean china, glass, and silver across outlets and allocate goods appropriately.

The role includes assisting in training and scheduling Stewarding staff and maintaining inventories in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and flexibility across shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Steward in a high-volume operation.
• Ability to train and schedule staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures an adequate supply of clean china, glass and silver is available to all outlets
• Guarantees the proper allocation of goods to the proper outlet

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in training and scheduling of the Stewarding department staff
• Aids in maintaining inventories

Minimum Education and Qualifications

Two years of experience as a Steward, in a high volume operation.

Competencies

Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Proper cleaning and storage techniques
• Understanding of cleaning methods
• Knowledge of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment

Training Requirements

• Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Supervisor Training classes
• Understanding of health and sanitation guidelines
• Knowledge of Ascent, EmpowerTime and Manager Self Service systems

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Fast paced kitchen environment
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
