Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual labor and operate equipment safely on utility construction sites, including hand digging, traffic control, and fiber placement.
  • Read utility prints and maps accurately to ensure project precision.
  • Possess at least 1 year of independent equipment operation experience (directional drills, mini, plow, hydro, etc.), with full safety training provided.
  • Support project setup and shutdown, including traffic management, across diverse locations.
  • Lead safety initiatives, enforce safety practices, and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, and homeowners, addressing concerns effectively.
  • Train crew members on fiber installation, print reading, equipment use, and OSHA standards.
  • Manage materials and equipment logistics at job sites.
  • Lead by example, ensuring safety compliance and team guidance.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills.
  • Encourage hazard identification through pre-task processes.
  • Perform additional duties to support team success.
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of utility construction experience, preferably as a crew leader or foreman, and at least 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience. Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL license or ability to obtain one required.

Compensation

Starting at $30/hour, with variation based on skills and experience.
