Job summary

Knight Transportation is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician in the Phoenix area to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on company equipment including tractors, trailers, and refrigerated units. You will inspect, diagnose issues, and perform repairs to meet OEM and DOT standards.

Responsibilities include tire maintenance, test drives if certified, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while supporting team goals and company growth.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance required.
• Reading and understanding repair manuals; able to complete tags and repair orders.
• Must possess excellent computer skills.
• Drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment to OEM/DOT/company specifications.
• Disassemble and reassemble heavy truck components such as engines, transmissions and axles.
• Perform tire maintenance and related inspections.
• Possibly test drive equipment if certified.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Contribute to a positive work atmosphere to support business operations.
