Job summary

Knight Transportation in Phoenix is seeking an entry-level Body Repair Technician to inspect, repair and maintain company equipment, including tractors and trailers, following OEM and DOT specifications and documenting all work orders for warranty compliance.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Driver's license required
• Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals, understanding and ability to complete/fill tags and repair orders
• Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers
• Must possess excellent computer skills
• Must be able to complete/fill tags and repair orders

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality inspection, warranty and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, and support equipment
• Perform Body repairs on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, company, etc.).
• Inspect, analyze and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, reassemble document damage/ warranty of Body components; including but not limited to; Bumpers, Hoods, Doors, Cab Extenders and any other components.
• Perform Body repairs; including but not limited to; Body filler, Fiber Glass and plastic repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Safely and Properly handle and work with tools and equipment.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
• Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
