Job summary

Boggs Recruiting is seeking a Heavy Truck Technician for a client in St Johns, IN. You will diagnose and repair heavy trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, while performing routine maintenance and safety checks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, at least 2 years in the field, ability to read schematics, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. You must have your own tools and work a Monday–Friday first shift with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy truck technician.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy truck mechanical issues on engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations and brake inspections.
• Inspect vehicles and document necessary repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems.
• Maintain inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations while working on vehicles.
• Communicate with team members and management about issues or concerns.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
