Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment in Clinton, MD is seeking a Heavy Truck Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. You’ll work on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains, with training opportunities and a focus on quality workmanship.

The role offers hourly pay between $29 and $34, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Hands-on diesel maintenance/repair on heavy‑duty trucks or equipment.
• Experience with preventative maintenance, brakes, and general mechanical repairs.
• Some experience with hydraulic systems, welding, fabrication, or automotive electrical systems is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including diesel engines, chassis, drivetrains, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and related components.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine-related issues and identify causes of failures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs: inspections, fluid/services, lubrication, brake and suspension work, tire replacement, cooling system maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including PTO-driven systems, pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, etc.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems by troubleshooting wiring, power, sensors, and components.
• Complete repairs safely, documenting diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and additional work recommended.
