Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment in Hampton, VA is seeking Diesel Technicians to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy‑duty trucks and equipment. You’ll work with diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems, using diagnostic tools and following safety procedures.

You'll be expected to perform preventative maintenance, document work orders, and communicate with the Service Manager. Company provides training, uniforms, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy‑duty trucks and equipment.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, drivetrains.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools.
• Must have your own basic hand tools and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty trucks and equipment (diesel engines, chassis, hydraulics, brakes).
• Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs, including inspections and fluid services.
• TROUBLESHOOT hydraulic systems and PTO-driven components.
• Document diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and recommendations.
• Communicate with Service Manager and team about needs and parts.
