HireArt is assisting our client to hire a Heavy Machinery Operator in Safford, AZ. The role involves operating 20-ton mining vehicles, conducting inspections, and supporting hardware and software testing to improve performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of heavy machinery experience, a clean driving record, and a safety-focused mindset. Training may occur in Sunol, CA before deployment to Arizona; up to 50% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verifiable heavy machinery operator experience.
• Experience operating rigid-frame haul trucks strongly preferred; other heavy mining equipment may be considered.
• Ability to pass a background check and DOT-related requirements.
• Valid CDL-A is preferred but not required; willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 20-ton mining vehicles and fleet equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs) and report issues.
• Support hardware and software testing with detailed feedback to engineering teams.
• Maintain safety and regulatory standards; ensure vehicle readiness for deployment.
• Travel up to 50% and complete training in Sunol, CA before deployment to Arizona.
