Job summary

Trucking People in Safford, AZ is seeking an experienced Haul Truck Operator to support the safe operation, testing, and readiness of 20-ton mining vehicles in Arizona.

You will perform inspections, assist with hardware/software testing, and provide feedback to engineering teams. This contract role requires 5+ years of heavy equipment experience, the ability to drive 20-ton trucks, and willingness to travel up to 50% plus potential training in Sunol, CA before deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years verifiable heavy machinery operating experience.
• Experience operating large heavy equipment, rigid-frame or articulated trucks.
• Ability to pass a DOT drug test, MVR and physical.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow laws, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 20-ton mining vehicles and other fleet vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, or performance concerns.
• Drive and back large mining vehicles with care.
• Support hardware and software testing of vehicle systems.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams on vehicle performance.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and follow safety procedures.
• Travel for training and deployment as needed.
