Job summary

C3 AI is seeking an Industry Solution Leader (ISL) for Heavy Industrial to drive design and delivery of enterprise AI solutions, with specialization in Integrated Steel Optimization and Asset Performance. The ISL will lead cross-functional teams including Forward Deployed Engineers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years in engineering, manufacturing, operations, reliability, maintenance, industrial technology, or related consulting.
• Deep experience in asset-intensive industries (steel, metals, etc.).
• Experience solving complex operational problems and improving equipment reliability, throughput, or energy efficiency.
• Experience with industrial data and industrial systems (SCADA, MES, ERP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Own the overall solution strategy, technical direction, and delivery outcomes for engagements.
• Serve as the primary customer-facing solution leader and domain expert.
• Identify and quantify high-impact opportunities across reliability, production performance, and process optimization.
• Translate engineering challenges into AI/ML and software problems with defined requirements and value.
• Lead engagements from use case definition through deployment and scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Guide abuse of data interpretation and ensure alignment with engineering fundamentals.
