Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Project Specialist to help plan, coordinate, and execute heavy highway and bridge construction projects in Virginia.

You will work with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to keep schedules and budgets on track, while maintaining detailed documentation and data accuracy. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle fast-paced deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to heavy highway and civil projects.
• Experience in LCAMS and Miss Utility (VA 811) a plus.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Track project costs and expenditures to maintain budgetary controls.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts and permits.
• Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and solutions to management.
• Enter, update, and verify data into relevant systems and databases with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
• Ensure that all data entries are error-free and comply with company standards and guidelines.
• Perform regular data audits to identify and correct inconsistencies or errors.
• Communicate with team members or other departments to obtain missing information or clarify details.
• Provide regular updates on data entry progress to supervisors or managers.
