Job summary

WW Clyde is seeking a Heavy Haul Equipment Transport Driver to move oversized equipment across multiple Arizona construction sites. You will handle loading, securing, and documenting loads, and comply with all DOT and company safety rules.

Overnight travel may be required. Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL with required endorsements and a DOT medical card, with at least 3 years of heavy haul experience and strong safety discipline.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy haul transport.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL with Doubles/Triples, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements or the ability to obtain endorsements.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate is required.
• Basic knowledge of oversized/overweight hauling rules and regulations.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Overnight travel will be required.
• Basic Computer Skills Required (Email, Smart Phone, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Operates, loads, and unloads oversized/overweight equipment, ensuring loads are secured before travel.
• Reviews route permits and safety provisions.
• Pre- and post-trip checks of vehicle, trailer, and gear.
• Complies with DOT/state/local laws and load limits.
• Documents any equipment damage with photos and reports.
• Maintains accurate manifest and loading accuracy.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Performs tasks under various weather conditions; travel overnight as needed.
• Maintains DOT compliance and safety standards.

Overview

Job Title: Heavy Haul Equipment Transport Driver

Job Summary: The transport driver is primarily responsible to transport heavy equipment across the valley.

LOCATIONS: Various Construction sites throughout Arizona. *Some out of state travel required*

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates, loads, and unloading of oversized and/or overweight equipment and ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded, and secured before the vehicle proceeds to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while in route; perform a thorough pre- and post-check to inspect the load and truck before and after each stop
• Ability to read and review permit for route, special considerations, and safety provisions
• prepare before and stow away after each trip the vehicle, trailer, and all auxiliary equipment such as chains , straps, blocks, and gears
• Comply with all DOT, state, and local traffic and highway laws, rules and regulations and safely operate all equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits
• Take pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediately
• Ensure all items transported are on the manifest are accurate and error free
• Performs general maintenance, minor repairs, and regular service on mobile equipment and equipment daily as directed by supervisor
• Mechanical and hydraulic trailer experience as well as skills to perform minor maintenance on equipment as required

• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• Minium of 3 years of experience in Heavy Haul Transport- REQUIRED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid Class A CDL with Doubles/Triples, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements or the ability to obtain endorsements is required
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate is required
• Basic knowledge and understanding of all oversized/overweight hauling rules and regulations on federal, state, county, and city jurisdictions is required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is required
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required
• Acceptable MVR in accordance with Blount Company Vehicle Program policy is required
• Overnight travel will be required
• Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat in excess of 100 degrees, cold, and rain
