The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of heavy haul experience and a valid Class A CDL. Mardian Transportation Co.

Mardian Transportation and its affiliated companies have over 220 employees and operate in five different states in the Western U.S. Mardian Transportation needs individuals to operate transportation equipment for pick‑up and delivery of machinery, parts, and similar loads. To operate trucks with or without trailers. Hours will vary based on business need. This position has the possibility of travel with overnight trips.

Must have 3-5 years of Heavy Haul Experience.

Essential Functions
  • Operate, load, and unload parts and equipment to be hauled.
  • Ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded and secured before the vehicle proceeds from each stop. Personally check and inspect the load.
  • Perform a thorough check of the truck before and after each stop.
  • Secure loose timbers and ramps with chains while in transit; remove and put away chains or straps when unloading.
  • Prepare and stow away vehicle, trailer and auxiliary equipment such as chains, straps, blocks and gear.
  • Comply with all DOT, state and local traffic and highway laws, rules, and regulations. Safely operate all equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits.
  • Take pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediately.
  • Assist in loading or unloading the trucks. Ensure all loads are properly prepared, loaded, and secured to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while en route.
  • Ensure manifests are accurate and error‑free. All items transported are on the manifest.
  • Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
Added Responsibilities
  • Maintain company equipment by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, etc. on truck and equipment before starting.
  • All equipment is kept clean and maintained. Report hauling equipment operation trouble to the office.
  • Keep driver’s license and required CDL and all endorsements current. Notify supervisor of any driver license problems within one day.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is properly completed within applicable time deadlines.
  • Work within and promote corporate values.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • HS Graduate or equivalent.
  • 3 years verifiable work history.
  • CDL.
  • Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Must successfully complete pre‑employment drug screen and background investigation.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Clean, current driving and safety record for the past 12 months.
  • Must have current valid Class A CDL.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Appropriate manner, conduct and grooming adhere to company policy.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
  • Must meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  • Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
