Job summary

Cardinal Civil Contracting, part of Cardinal Infrastructure Group, is seeking a Lowboy Driver in Raleigh, NC to transport heavy construction equipment between yards and active project sites on a daily dispatch. You will inspect, load, secure, and deliver on schedule to keep crews productive.

Join a team focused on safety and efficiency. Requires a Class A CDL with a clean record, 2+ years of heavy-haul experience, and solid knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• 2+ years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience hauling heavy construction equipment.
• Knowledge of FMCSA cargo securement rules and Hours of Service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor and lowboy/RGN trailer to haul equipment on a daily dispatch.
• Plan routes for oversize/overweight loads and secure permits when required.
• Safely load/unload equipment, secure loads with chains/binders, and perform DVIR inspections.
• Maintain Hours-of-Service logs and required documents; communicate with dispatch and site crews.
• Uphold Cardinal safety policies and report incidents or hazards immediately.
