Cardinal Civil Contracting is seeking a dependable Dump Truck Driver to move material between sites and quarries in Raleigh, NC. You will support grading, utility, and paving crews by maintaining a steady haul flow and ensuring loads are secure.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
• 1+ year of verifiable CDL driving experience operating a tandem or tri-axle dump truck.
• Proven ability to safely operate a dump truck on active construction sites.
• Working knowledge of pre-trip inspection, load securement and tarping, weight limits, and Hours-of-Service rules.
• Comfortable using an ELD, GPS, and a smartphone or tablet for dispatch, tickets, and photos.
• Strong situational awareness, dependability, and clear communication with dispatch, operators, and foremen.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred) without restrictions; DOT medical card; able to pass drug screen and background check.

Aufgaben

• Operate a tandem, tri-axle, or quad-axle dump truck to haul soil, aggregate, rip rap, and debris between jobsites, quarries, plants, and disposal sites.
• Load efficiently with excavator/loader; follow spotter signals to keep the haul cycle moving.
• Dump and spread material; check ground stability and avoid hazards before moving.
• Navigate active sites with mud and uneven ground; watch for crews, equipment, and pedestrians.
• Collect scale tickets, delivery tickets, and fuel receipts accurately and on time.
• Maintain Hours-of-Service records and ensure CDL/DOT documentation is current.
• Model Cardinal safety program; stop work if conditions are unsafe; report incidents promptly.
