Job summary

Turner Industries Group in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Heavy Haul CDL Truck Driver to operate a fuel truck and support our crane & rigging yard on active sites. You will move materials, comply with client safety standards, and work in an outdoor industrial environment.

Qualified candidates have a CDL with Hazmat, at least four years of experience, and the ability to pass pre-employment tests and a DOT drug screen. A TWIC card is preferred and availability for overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• CDL with Hazmat endorsement required.
• Minimum four years of driving experience.
• TWIC card preferred or ability to obtain one.
• Pre-employment qualification test and federal written driving test.

Responsibilities

• Operate fuel truck at Crane & Rigging yard.
• Move materials on construction sites and coordinate with spotters.
• Follow safety protocols and client requirements; wear PPE.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and report issues.

Turner Industries Group is looking for a Heavy Haul CDL Truck Driver to support our Crane & Rigging yard in Pasadena, TX.

NO per diem or relocation available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the area.

• Minimum four (4) years of experience
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT Endorsement required
• TWIC card preferred or ability to aquire a TWIC card
• Pre-employment qualification test/federal written driving test
• D.O.T. drug screen/card
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• 40hrs, must be on call and able to work overtime

General Job Description:

Operate fuel truck.

Functional Requirements:

Moves hand and foot levers to control operating equipment; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; may assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects; may be required to manipulate equipment on un-level working surfaces.

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of truck(s); reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.

Mental Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; judging distances and slopes accurately; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

Location: industrial maintenance and construction sites, public roadways, refinery / chemical facilities, and/or equipment yard

Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
