Job summary

Turner Industries Group is seeking an experienced Crane and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our fleet at the Pasadena, TX Equipment Yard. The role involves electrical, hydraulic and mechanical repair work on diesel/heavy equipment, with a focus on preventative maintenance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, a HS diploma or GED, and a related certificate or training. Wages include overtime after 40 hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Crane and Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support our fleet in our Equipment Yard located in Pasadena, TX. The successful candidate will have experience working on heavy equipment, gas/ diesel engines, and hydraulic systems. This position offers:

• Regular 40 Hours+ per week (Overtime after 40)
• Overtime and call-outs as needed - overtime paid at time-and-a-half

Equipment Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
• Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
• Complete shop paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Post-secondary certificate or degree in engineering OR training as a mechanic is a plus
• 5+ years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair
• TWIC Card preferred
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Per diem and relocation is not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in the Houston metro area.
