County Materials Family of Companies is seeking a Girder Driver in Salem, IL. You will deliver girders using a Class A CDL, perform DOT inspections, and securely transport heavy loads while maintaining professional customer interactions on outdoor construction sites.

The role demands strong CDL experience, safety focus, and ability to work in varying weather conditions. Overnight travel is possible, with emphasis on compliance and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL prior to hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience required.
• “T” Endorsement for doubles and triples preferred.
• Outdoor weather conditions and working near moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver girders and related products using a tractor‑trailer.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Properly secure loads following DOT regulations.
• Interface with clients and maintain professional customer relations.
• Operate tractor-trailer combinations and ensure safety compliance.
• Load and unload girders as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and good operating conditions of tractors.
