Job summary

Hines, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, seeks a CDL Driver I to safely transport lumber and building materials to job sites and other locations. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, manage logs, and ensure on-time, professional deliveries across Illinois and nearby states.

The role requires a valid CDL A or B, knowledge of DOT regulations, and strong customer service skills. Proactive safety and load management are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.
• Maintains valid CDL and driver qualification standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and other locations; city-based and interstate travel possible.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provides professional customer service at delivery points.
• Loads/unloads materials and secures loads for transport.
• Maintains DOT logs and adherence to hours-of-service rules.
