Qualifications

• One-year prior foundry experience.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment.
• Previous machine shop, foundry, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience operating furnaces and other foundry related equipment.
• Knowledge of mold preparation and pouring techniques.
• Math skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Applying safe working methods.
• Operates control station to monitor and control foundry processes.
• Analyzes control signals.
• Control melting operations.
• Detect deviations and initiate corrective action.
• Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles.
