John Deere Dubuque seeks a Heavy Equipment Test Mechanic to set up, maintain, and test hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems for agricultural implements.

You will collaborate with engineers and customers to plan and execute field and lab tests, diagnose issues, perform repairs, document findings, and ensure equipment is ready for testing, with shifts offered based on seniority.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED, or NCRC, or 3 years manufacturing experience.
• Journeyperson’s card or 4+ years heavy equipment diesel mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment for tests.
• Collaborate with engineers and customers to plan lab and field testing.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs and adjustments.
• Fabricate parts by cutting, bending, machining, welding as needed.
• Record findings and write reports documenting test conditions and results.
• Disassemble units after tests and inspect wear/misalignment.
• Lubricate, add coolant, and clean equipment.
• Move equipment for testing and support team members.
• Work shifts based on seniority.
