Job summary

REIC Rentals in Winter Park, CO is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair rental equipment across oilfield, construction, and industrial settings. In this hands-on role, you’ll work in our Winter Park shop and support operations by ensuring equipment performs at peak efficiency and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of field service experience, brings their own tools, can read schematics and diagrams, and communicates clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service technician experience in oilfield, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial environments.
• Personal set of technician tools.
• Proven experience troubleshooting gas, diesel, HVAC, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on rental equipment in the shop.
• Install, service, and repair gas and diesel-powered machinery, HVAC systems, generators, small engines, and light towers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document findings.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Maintain accurate service records using mobile and digital reporting tools.
• Provide professional customer support, including training customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with teammates and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM -- 5:00 PM

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of field service technician experience in oilfield, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial environments
• Personal set of technician tools
• Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing gas, diesel, HVAC, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience supporting a diverse equipment fleet
• Ability to work safely in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally
• CDL preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR required)
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift
