Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of rental equipment in our Evans shop and at customer sites across Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.

You will troubleshoot gas and diesel-powered machinery, HVAC systems, generators, and light towers, while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service technician experience in oilfield, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial environments.
• Personal set of technician tools.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on rental equipment in shop and field environments.
• Install, service, and repair gas and diesel-powered machinery, HVAC systems, generators, and light towers.
• Travel to customer sites throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Maintain accurate service records using mobile and digital reporting tools.
• Provide professional customer support, including training customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance.

As a Field Service Technician at REIC Rentals, you'll be the technical expert responsible for ensuring our rental equipment performs at its best-whether in our Evans, CO shop or at customer job sites. In this hands‑on role, you'll support critical operations across oilfield, construction, and industrial environments by diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment. What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on rental equipment in both shop and field environments
• Install, service, and repair a variety of equipment, including gas and diesel‑powered machinery, HVAC systems, generators, and light towers
• Travel to customer sites throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document findingsRead and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Maintain accurate service records using mobile and digital reporting tools
• Provide professional customer support, including training customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance
• Collaborate with teammates and elevate complex technical issues when necessary
• Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Frequent travel throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah
• Overnight travel and occasional weekend work required based on business needs

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of field service technician experience in oilfield, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial environments
• Personal set of technician tools
• Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing gas, diesel, HVAC, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience supporting a diverse equipment fleet
• Ability to work safely in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally
• CDL preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR required)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
