Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair rental equipment in the Odessa, TX area. You will troubleshoot issues on gas/diesel machinery, HVAC systems, and lights, traveling to sites across oilfield and construction environments.

You’ll read schematics, maintain service records, and participate in on‑call rotations while delivering top‑tier customer service in challenging conditions. CDL is a plus; 21+ required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field technician experience in oilfield, construction, or heavy industrial settings.
• Own set of tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot/repair gas, diesel, HVAC, hydraulic, and lighting systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude across diverse rental equipment.
• Comfortable in harsh weather, remote sites, and physically demanding environments.
• Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and use diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with travel-intensive roles including overnight stays and on-call.
• CDL license is a plus.
• Clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed).
• Must be 21+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs in shop and field settings.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Maintain detailed and accurate service records using mobile and digital tools.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, respond to urgent service needs, and work in harsh or extreme weather as needed.
• Deliver professional, courteous customer support, including training operators on proper equipment use and care.
