Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs on heavy machinery at our Georgetown-area facility. You will service equipment per schedules, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs to keep operations safe and efficient.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of applicable experience required.
• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot or repair equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of heavy equipment in a safe manner in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Service equipment per maintenance schedules and daily inspection reports.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Perform emergency repairs on breakdowns and inspect, lubricate, and service equipment.
• Ensure safety devices are in good order and perform routine housekeeping in the shop.
