Job summary

Foley Power Solutions in Chillicothe, MO is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, service and repair Caterpillar earthmoving equipment in our shop. You will perform repair and preventive maintenance, diagnose problems, install parts and test operation with supervision minimal, while building lasting customer relationships.

Ideal candidates have diesel mechanic experience, electrical/hydraulic knowledge, and familiarity with hand tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in diesel mechanics, CAT earthmoving equipment.
• Certified Welder (3G/4G) with equipment repair welding experience.
• Stable work history; read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery; diagnose problems and make repairs.
• Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components and test adjustments.
• Test operation of repairs and maintain documentation; travel for training as needed.
• Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers.
