Job summary

Foley Equipment is seeking an Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, service, and repair heavy machinery in our Kansas shop. You will handle earthmoving equipment and related components, performing PMs and diagnostic work for CAT equipment and allied products.

The role requires reading specifications and manuals, lifting heavy components, and occasional travel to other locations for training and support. Experience with diesel hydraulics is preferred; a welding background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments.
• Welding background (MIG and Stick) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
• Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers.
