Job summary

Ohio Machinery Co. is seeking a Caterpillar Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain CAT heavy equipment in our shop. You will work on dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, and haul trucks to ensure peak performance.

Ideal candidates have a strong mechanical aptitude, 3+ years of industry experience including 5+ years with CAT or similar heavy equipment, and familiarity with CAT tools ET and SIS. Welding is a plus. This is an in-shop role with safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a minimum 2-year technical program in diesel or power equipment systems.
• At least 3 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years hands-on repair on Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain CAT heavy equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on CAT engines, drive-train, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect and maintain CAT equipment, rebuild components, and ensure peak performance.
• Use CAT diagnostic tools ET and SIS to troubleshoot issues.
• Follow safety protocols in the shop.
