Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician in Middletown, OH. You will repair and maintain large construction equipment and use diagnostic laptops to analyze transmissions, engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

The role requires a two-year technical degree in diesel technology (preferred) and 5+ years of experience (preferred). Typical work hours are the DAY shift, Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm, with Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components on heavy construction equipment in field or shop.
• Use a laptop for diagnostics and to prepare service reports.
• Write and complete service reports and participate in company training programs.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment and related machinery.
• This role focuses on heavy equipment, including trucks, trailers, and small construction equipment as needed.

Heavy Equipment Technician

Responsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment.

Pay: $32 - $45 an hour.

The typicalDAY shiftis Monday-Friday (Saturdays as needed) 7am-3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a field environment.
• Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.
• Write and complete service reports.
• Participate in company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• This position is focusing on Heavy equipment, this will also include trucks, trailers and small construction equipment as needed.

Education and Experience

• Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred.
• 5+ years' experiencepreferred

Skills and Abilities

• Use hand tools, air tools, test equipment, powered shop tools, and overhead crane.
• Operation of a variety of types of equipment
• Diagnosis and repair of diesel engines
• Maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of equipment electrical systems
