Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician in Middletown, OH to repair and maintain large construction equipment. The role focuses on transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic systems, with field and shop duties. A two-year technical degree is preferred, and 5+ years experience is desirable.

The day shift runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with Saturdays as needed. The technician will diagnose and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers, document work

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in diesel technology or heavy equipment mechanics.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components in heavy construction equipment.
• Use a laptop for diagnostics and safe assembly/disassembly of components in the field or shop.
• Write and complete service reports; participate in company training programs.
• Work on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and related machinery in shop and field environments.
