Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Type: Full-Time

Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and Saturday 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM, as needed.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE

About the role

A Heavy Equipment Technician at our mining company is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting large machinery used in mining operations, such as excavators, bulldozers, haul trucks, and loaders. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, given the fast-paced environment of mining sites. What you'll do

• Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, axles, and related systems.
• Inspection and Diagnostics: Conduct inspections to assess machinery condition and identify potential problems before breakdowns occur. Use diagnostic tools to test systems and identify issues with engine performance, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and time spent. Follow safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with operators and supervisors to minimize operational downtime. Train or mentor junior mechanics.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and regulatory standards. Adhere to safe work practices when handling heavy machinery, chemicals, and fuel.
• Other duties as assigned.
