Job summary

Empire Southwest is seeking seasoned shop and field technicians to service Caterpillar and allied machines in a shop environment. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems, diagnose issues using electronic tools and schematics, and clearly communicate equipment status to clients and management.

The role requires English proficiency, safety-first mindset, and the ability to complete a skills assessment. Location is in-shop with potential travel to remote sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience in a similar role.
• Completion of eTRAIN test evaluation is required.
• Ability to communicate in English (speak/read/write).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports and communicate status to clients and management.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Maintain tools and company equipment in good condition.
• Work safely and comply with all safety policies.
