We seek a skilled technician to diagnose and repair heavy equipment, focusing on Caterpillar machinery, with strong diagnostic skills and a safety-first approach.

The role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment; Caterpillar experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret machine schematics and maintain components per specs.
• Proficiency with diagnostic laptops and basic numerical/electrical troubleshooting.
• MSHA certification or ability to obtain MSHA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose repair needs on customer or company-owned machines, primarily Caterpillar equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and general machine upkeep.
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals to identify faults and perform repairs.
• Disassemble and reassemble components per manufacturer specifications.
• Load/unload equipment as required and ensure OSHA safety compliance.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
